The print series ‘Powder Days’ is a set of playful characters and symbols influenced by the research he undertook during his Masters in Design study in 2009 up on Mt Ruapehu. The research that year focused on the development of a visual language that could be used as a tool to support day to day conversation.
The research involved (spending 28 days snowboarding?!) sorry – running co-creation work shops with snowboarders and skiers during the course of the winter season. These sessions supplied data that informed the design of new communication tool called ‘Experience Mapping’. The tool helps riders map out their daily experiences of being up on the mountain. Check out ‘Experience Mapping’.
The prints are for sale at: Endemic World
